The journey began in 2021 when I (that’s me in the photo, by the way) started getting bored of instant and capsule coffee and began to yearn for something better. The next few years involved experimenting with various coffee brewing equipment (moka pots, drip filters, Aeropress, espresso machine, etc.) and different types of specialty coffee. In that time of experimenting, researching and learning is when Kiboko Coffee Co was born.
Meet Kiboko our friendly African Hippo. Kiboko actually means Hippopotamus in Swahili. We think she is strong and bold, just like our coffee.

We have partnered with the best roasters in the market and worked meticulously to develop coffees that are truly captivating. All of our coffee beans are carefully selected from sustainable and ethical sources worldwide.
THE ROASTING PROCESS
Our coffee beans are roasted to perfection in small batches. This artisanal approach allows us to highlight the distinctive characteristics of each coffee variety. From the first crack to the delicate cooling process, our roasters use their expertise to unlock the full potential of the beans, resulting in rich, aromatic, and flavourful brews that you won't find anywhere else.
